Interpreting Treasured Family Photos with Stumpwork Techniques.

Bring your family photos to life with raised hand embroidery, aka stumpwork. I will guide you through each stage of the process; from simplifying your photo for stitching, to building your background, material and stitch choice. This is a fun workshop with an emphasis on experimentation. Suitable for stitchers who want to elevate their design and stitch repertoire in a supportive environment. Participants will work on a piece no bigger than 6” x 9”

I will provide most materials and stitchers are encouraged to provide threads and fabric from their stash.

This workshop is suitable for stitchers with intermediate to advanced skills in surface embroidery. The cost of the workshop is $200 and includes most materials.
